Stüssy is a Californian skate/surf brand established in the early 1980s, and is now one of the most recognized streetwear brands in fashion.

During the covid pandemic, Stüssy struggled with in-person sales at retail stores due to restrictions, and their e-commerce website became more important than ever. With increased traffic and sales on the site, there was a need to improve the digital shopping experience for customers, and to create a best in class experience.

At the time, the site was running and operational, but visually and functionally outdated–not representative of the Stüssy brand which is one of Shopify’s top selling e-commerce stores.

We took this opportunity to redesign the website from scratch, rethinking the digital strategy, UI/UX, through to initial concept, iterations, launch and quality assurance. With over 75% of Stüssy’s customers shopping on mobile, we designed a mobile first e-commerce website with the goal to improve on the performance, functionality, customer experience and visual design throughout all areas of the site.

Since the launch of the redesign, Stüssy has had higher conversion, revenue, traffic and customer satisfaction across all sites in North America, Europe, United Kingdom, Japan and Korea.
